Overview

From the outside, the house looks a little bit like a gingerbread house in a fairytale, with a narrow pathway that leads up to the front door. Then as soon as you come inside, it feels as if you’re visiting Ernest Hemingway. With bamboo and wicker furniture, antique table lamps, a hand-painted buffet, an old grandfather floor clock, a Zebra hide on the floor, beautifully framed paintings, and last, but not least, a grand fireplace in the center of the living room, this is old Florida! The house also has a separate dining room, and, of course, you have genuine hardwood floors in every room. To separate the kitchen somewhat from the dining room, the floors in the kitchen have been white-washed, which makes it blend in very nicely with the country-style white kitchen cabinets. The house is simply gorgeous throughout! And to top it off, you even have an outdoor space that feels like another living room, with an overhang for you to enjoy come rain or shine.
Other features include cable and WIFI, a washer and dryer, and let’s not forget the gas grill. Bottom line, if you want Old Florida Charm, this is it!
In fact, Windsor House is a Tudor style home that is featured in the well-known Cottage Book of Lake Worth.

Windsor House is nestled away in one of Lake Worth Beach’s most charming little neighborhoods known as Parrot Cove, which is a little Tropical paradise surrounded by old historical cottages all built prior to 1939. In fact, Lake Worth Beach has the largest concentration of cottages anywhere in Florida! Many of these cottages are painted in whimsical pastels, come in a variety of architectural styles, and are often draped by canopies of trees and other tropical flora. Downtown Lake Worth Beach is equally quaint with many popular restaurants, bars, and cafes. And if you’re a golfer, it’s only a five-minute walk to The Beach Club, which offers an 18-hole championship golf course that’s open to the public with many of the holes running parallel to the Intracoastal, offering beautiful views with a cooling breeze. Lastly, dine at Benny’s on the Beach, right on Lake Worth Beach’s own fishing Pier. And next door, you’ll find an old historical casino from the 1920’s, and although there is no gambling, the complex features a new oceanfront park, restrooms, and picnic facilities. This historical quaint little town may just become your favorite travel destination!

Great stay at Windsor house

A week’s vacation -horse shows and beaches.
The property was has advertised. It was spacious and well equipped. We used the gas grill and were able to prepare several meals during our stay. Accessing the property was problem free and the location in the historic district was refreshing.

Sisters vacation in West Palm Beach

Great home/location and host
We had a great stay at Windsor House - Parrot Cove. We needed a last minute accommodation and the staff from iRenta and the homes host were great to work with. The home is well appointed and supplied and in a quiet and beautiful historic location. The outdoor patio was a great outside getaway spot. There is a golf club around the corner for food and they have EV charging. Great experience.

Charming!
